Thorne & Daughters "Wanderer's Heart", 2021

Bristle, bougainvillea, grape bubblegum, white pepper, bark, hickory, fresh cut wood. Palate is elusive and seductive at the same moment, timid yet brimming with cherries. John Seccombe seeks out vineyards across the Western Cape that inspire him to create transparent wine reflecting the vineyards' unique characteristics. The "Wanderer's Heart" falls under the umbrella of naming their wines evoking childhood themes, while also describing the quest to find these vineyards. These wine symbolizes the new generation of young winemakers in South Africa creating a sense of place with each bottle. Syrah, Grenache Noir, Mourvèdre, Carignan.
